Water and fire damage is a major concern, no matter how careful renters might be. Just think your upstairs neighbor overflows the bathtub, or leaves candles melting all night, to appliances left on, or frozen water pipes that eventually burst and cause massive damage to your things. The list of possible options is pretty long, but here are a few, fire and lightning, theft, water damage, acts of war, falling objects, snow and ice collapse, wind and hail, vandalism, mold and storage units, however water damage and flooding are two very different things. Water damage is caused by leaking water, or a burst pipe. This is covered. If the water damage is caused by waves, tsunami, or other natural water events, this would not be covered. There are a number of endorsements renters may add to their policy.
